At Oregon Park the bunnies gathered, multiplying each minute until 3 pm departure on Easter Sunday. Around a 150 Bunnies on Bikes headed out on a 2-hour loop journey through Laurelhurst Park, a Parade down Belmont , a voodoo donut and hot drink stop at the Hawthorne Hostel and a spin around Ladd's Circle during on and off rain.

SPECIAL THANKS
Voodoo Donuts graciously donated tons of donuts. The Hawthorne Hostel hosted us. Thanks to all the volunteer riders on route and set-up crew at the hostel for making this ride super successful.

LADD's CIRCLE MAGIC
When the ride hit Ladd's circle, another bike crew with a rockin' boombox also happened to ride into the circle at the same time! No folks this was not planned. We went around the circle 3 maybe 4 times enjoying the seredipitious music. In the 2nd half of this film clip see us go round and round!

THE RIDE
The ride started at Oregon Park, we rode SE and took a nice ride through Laurelhurst Park, then paraded up Belmont and around Sunnyside Park, and then through a secret Alley to Hawthorne Hostel where we breaked for donuts and coffee, and egg surprises and bubbles for little bunnies. Over Hawthorne Blvd through Sewallcrest Park, and then down the hill into the heart of Ladd's Addition to the big Circle. Round and round we went before making our way back via the "Bike Blvd" Ankeny Ave, completeing our journey via 28th on the return to Oregon Park. Bunny on a Bike volunteers enjoyed an afterparty with a painted beer hunt and egg-shaped homemade pizza. Fabulous!

Please join us (dressed as a bunny) for the 4th Annual Easter ride sponsored by Red Bat Press.

This year's theme: Parade in your Sunday's Best> Wear your ties & waist-coats, floral dresses and shiny shoes. Just don't forget your bunny ears.

ROUTE DETAILS: Two-hour loop with stops. Easy ride, however Children must be with an adult and Lone riders under 8 not recommended. This ride will go Rain or Shine!
